Marcel & Elizabeth Bergman (piano 4 hands), Jasper Wood (violin), and Sungyong Lim, (cello). ‘Pocket’ ensembles offer an opportunity to bring a fresh and new take on a celebrated work such as Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, probably one of the most recognized compositions of all time. This ‘pocket symphony’ version for one piano 4 hands, violin, and cello leaves nothing out in terms of fullness and exuberance. Also on the programme are other works that celebrate the splendid and rich orchestral sound of strings and piano.
