When we think of Canadian singer/songwriters, names such as Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia Tyson, and Stan Rogers immediately spring to mind, but Ross Douglas deserves a place on that stellar list. In a highly personal concert that took the audience through two centuries of Canadian history – from 19th. C. gold rush Wells, BC to a tired traveller in a modern day small town cafe – he sang, with great fondness, of everyday people, some of whom lived through extraordinary times. It was a truly memorable afternoon.
