A generous grant from the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation allowed the choir to purchase a portable electronic keyboard at the beginning of this choral season. This has been a wishlist item for several years as aging backs complained when pianos were loaded onto trucks, rolled across parking lots, etc. in order that the choir could perform at community events outside their home venue, the School of Music!
The wonderful new keyboard and accessories will allow the choir and their accompanists to rely on a standard quality of sound for audiences. The keyboard was first used in the fall of 2012 at the Remembrance Day ceremony, as well as the two “‘Til We Meet Again” concerts of music of the wartime eras.
