After months of waiting and planning, our 14th Annual Chamber Music Festival was everything we’d hoped for and more. Artistic Director Alexander Tselyakov again worked his magic in creating five equally delightful programs for concerts over three days. Long-time musical friends, the Lafayette String Quartet, were joined by Jenny Lim, violin; Yariv Aloni, viola; Brian Yoon, cello; and Jeanette Jonquil, clarinet in performances that brought ovations aplenty. The Rising Tide concert featuring young musicians has become one of the highlights of the Festival and this year David and Sarah Poon, Lucy Smith, and Jacob Gramit impressed with selections ranging from Henry Purcell to Leonard Bernstein. All in all, a memorable weekend of music in the Harbour.
