The grade 8-12 instrumental music students from Pender, Chatelech, and Elphinstone took part in a very successful Band Camp on Nov. 17 in Sechelt. Christin Reardon-McLellan, director of wind ensembles at UBC and director of Education & Community Programs for the VSO, lead two hour-long rehearsal/clinics with the massed band. In the hour between, the students broke out into instrument-specific clinics with professional teacher/musicians. It was a morning packed with learning and ensemble work. PH Music Society was a sponsor of the clinic.
