It’s always a pleasure to welcome long time musical friends back to Pender Harbour and, in the case of the Company B Jazz Band, the welcome carpet is always out. Their Christmas concert was both a blast from the past – hello Andrews Sisters! – and a nod to later artists and compositions, but always delivered with that infectious swinging beat.
One of the highlights was a rendition of Blue Christmas sung by Bonnie Northgraves who gift wrapped Elvis Presley’s swivel hips and signature style to the delight of her audience. A great way to start the festive season!
