The 2nd Annual Harp Camp at the School of Music in Madeira Park was attended by harpists from the Coast and beyond.
Talented harpist, Janelle Nadeau, a Sunshine Coast favourite with her regular “master” classes here, was joined by Canadian harpist extraordinaire, Sharlene Wallace, to present three days of workshops.
These wonderful performers and teachers treated the public to a June 29 mid-day recital including ensemble, solo and duet pieces to showcase the revival of the Celtic harp. For a magical hour, the audience was transported by the gorgeous and mellow music, a mix of traditional, contemporary and original arrangements, set against a backdrop of ocean and graceful evergreens.
