Jim Byrnes is one of Canada’s best-loved musical icons. Blues is his first love…singing and playing blues guitar since he was 13. Jim has won every award from Canadian Folk Music Awards (two times contemporary singer of the Year), the Maple Blues Award (male vocalist of the Year), to three Junos, and has played with everyone from the who’s who of the blues. He has been on the blues highway his whole career.
But Jim is also known as an actor from numerous TV and movie roles including Wiseguy and Highlander series, and his national variety show, The Jim Byrnes Show.
Jim was recently was awarded the Order of Canada acknowledging the impact he has had on the Canadian arts scene as well as for his philanthropic work.
Jim will be joined on our stage by outstanding musical colleagues Simon Kendall (Doug & The Slugs) and Eric Reed.
