The Pender Harbour Music Society opened it 2022-2023 concert series with two delightful concerts on August 13 and 14th. The first was Vetta String Quartet, led by Joan Blackman, violin. She was joined by David Gillham, violin, David Harding, viola, and Zoltan Rozsnyai, cello. The 2nd concert, The Four Jays, also led by Joan Blackman and with Jane Hayes, piano, Julia Nolan Saxaphone, and Jodi Proznick, bass, paired classical with a jazzy side. Comments from our audience included: “exquisite,” “. . . the joy they had making music together,” and “phenomenal music ensembles.”
