Laila has toured with Suzanne Vega, Chris Botti and Paula Cole, and just returned from a sell out gig at the Cotton Club in Tokyo. Her latest release, Tracing Light was nominated in 2011 for a Juno in the Best Vocal Jazz Album of the Year category. Laila has a reputation for challenging musical boundaries. She takes the best of pop, rock, classical, soul, and, informing it with her knowledge of jazz, seamlessly weaves it into beautifully haunting and melodic arrangements. Her music will give you goose-bumps: the good kind! THE LAILA BIALI TRIO is Laila Biali (piano and vocals), Julian MacDonough (drums), and Jodi Proznick (bass).
