If you are concerned about the future of the Pender Harbour Jazz Festival, we invite you to come to this special meeting.
The Pender Harbour Music Society (PHMS) has been considering what to do regarding the future of the Jazz Festival after the Director stepped down following the 2016 Festival. As an interim measure for this year, the PHMS organized a jazz concert and a free student jazz clinic which took place on the usual Festival weekend, September 15-17 (CLICK HERE for information on these concerts).
The pressing question to be answered now is “Does this Community want to organize and support a Jazz Festival in the future?”
The PHMS cannot do it alone and wants to hear from you. For example:
- What sort of Festival can we offer? How ambitious or limited in scope?
- Are there enough key volunteers?
- Is there enough support from local business?
